An interactive theatre hike for families of all ages.
Enter a world of magic, monsters and mermaids…
Legend has it, there’s a fish that makes wishes come true. But not every wish is a good wish. And not every face along the path is a friend.
“Ghost Fish” uses puppetry, music, swashbuckling sword fights and surprises to tell an unforgettable story that spans generations. Join the fun! Make a wish. Find the fish.
“Some folks say he’s invisible. Others say he’s not there at all. Expert fishermen have tried every bait, every lure, every hook. Not a single soul has caught the Ghost Fish… except for me.”
What is a theatre hike?
Unlike a traditional play, the audience (15 people or less) moves from scene to scene along the trail. Actors stay in their assigned spots, greeting a new group every 15 minutes. The nature trail is less than 1 mile long.
Fountain Creek Nature Center (October 8 and 15) offers a scenic hike that is extremely family-friendly. Strollers and small children can easily use the trail.
Bear Creek Nature Center (October 22) has a more adventurous trail, with slight hills and stairs, but it’s still suitable for school-age children.
Audiences should complete the hike, pausing to watch each scene, in 1 hour.
